01. Why should I choose a licensed home care agency versus hiring someone privately?
As a home care agency licensed by the New York State Department of Health, FCP implements services that comply with state regulations to ensure your safety and well-being. We conduct rigorous screening procedures so that you can rest assured that all of our home attendants are skilled, trustworthy and reliable. We hold our workers to the highest levels of excellence and professionalism.
02. What areas do you serve?
We provide services in all 5 boroughs of New York City: The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island.
03. What are your hours of operation?
First Chinese office hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. except holidays. For current clients, we have a 24/7 hotline to assist you to off hours.
04. What happens if my home care worker is sick or is temporarily unavailable?
Our large network of home attendants allows us to arrange a backup worker to provide coverage. Call your Case Coordinator as soon as possible so your services remain uninterrupted.
05. Am I able to change my home attendant once service has begun?
If you or your family is dissatisfied with the home attendant, we will try to mitigate the conflict. If there is no resolution, we will then work to find a better fit for you given your needs and expectations.

07. How do I qualify for home care services?
To qualify for homecare services, you need to meet the following criteria:
1) Be medically stable and not require constant medical/nursing adjustment
2) Obtain certification from a physician that indicates home care services is medically necessary
3) Be self-directing or have a representative who can direct your care
4) Be able to administer medication and handle personal financial resources
5) Reside within the five boroughs of New York City
